I’ve got the post-marathon blues. It happens every time. A lot of training and effort builds up for months, culminating in one great day, and then, suddenly, it’s over.
My quads are feeling nearly back to normal today, but my right knee has swelled up, so I am taking it easy with lots of rest, compression, and ice. It’s not the first time this has happened, so it’s just a matter of waiting it out until I can go for my next run.
In the meantime, on this dark and stormy day in Virginia, I decided to make the ultimate fall comfort snack: Chex® Party Mix. Our apartment now smells like coziness, which makes the post-marathon blues more tolerable.
